Episode 55
🎼. Dum ti dum ti dum ti dum...
Peggy: It’s so lovely to have both of my daughters in the same room with me. I mean let’s face it, at my age I could go at any time.
Lilian: Oh, Mum, don’t be so ridiculous. You’ll see us all out, you mark my words,
Peggy: I do feel very well, actually, and I put that down to Jakob. He has changed my life with all the attention he’s been paying to my pussy.
Lilian: Hilda isn’t looking too bad either...
Peggy: So, Jennifer, how are things at Home Farm ?
Jennifer: It is rather lovely being back in the old place. So spacious after that ghastly shoebox and so many happy family memories.
Lilian: You must be delighted to be back in your fabulous kitchen that took years to fit. Are you doing lots of cooking ? Mum doesn’t approve of that.
Peggy: I do know what I’m talking about, Lilian. Excessive cooking and baking indicates a lack of action in the bedroom. I read about it in Psychotherapy Weekly.
Lilian: The last I knew you were devoted to Woman’s Weekly.
Jennifer: Oh please don’t argue. I am cooking obviously but Jo doesn’t seem too impressed by my pheasant casserole or game pie. And she refuses to look at a venison sausage. Brian always loved the meals I prepared. I am beginning to wonder if Jo is a secret vegetarian.
Peggy: That would be awkward.
Lilian: How ghastly and who knew you would miss Brian ?
Peggy: Don’t worry, Jenny, I’ve got just the thing for you. Jill has a new recipe for lemon drizzle cake. Jo will love it and she’ll be chasing you round the kitchen.
Lilian: Perhaps it’s time I took up baking...
