🎼. Dum ti dum ti dum ti dum...

David:  What are you doing in the house, Josh ?  Why aren’t you outside working ?  You know we’ve only let you come back to Brookfield if you work hard on the farm and forget about dodgy deals.

Josh:  Have you been out in the yard recently ?  It’s a war zone out there.

David:  What do you mean?  I didn’t see any tanks or heavy weaponry the last time I was out.

Josh:  Yeah, well, it’s not that kind of warfare.

David:  Oh, there’s a new kind of warfare is there ?  It’s not one of my specialist subjects, I am more into subsidies and milk yields.

Josh:  Yawn, yawn, so dull.

David:  It puts food on the table and don’t you forget it.  I will ask you again, why are you skulking in the kitchen when you should be on the combine ?

Josh:  It’s the wasps, I got dive bombed about 20 times when I tried to cross the yard.  Terrifying,  They go straight for your face.

David:  For goodness sake !  What is wrong with you young people ?  Frightened by a few wasps ?  Pathetic.

Josh:  It’s a nest and it’s under the eaves by the kitchen window.  I’ve phoned Eddie and he’s coming over now.  He says something must be attracting them.

David:  Can’t think what.  We are living on takeaways because your Mum is a hopeless cook and your gran has been banned from the kitchen.

Josh:  Err, well, I’m not sure about that.  I had a look round in here and there are clear signs of cakes being made.  And there is something that looks like drizzle syrup  on the window sill.

David:  Wait till I get hold of her !  She’s only allowed back from Peggy’s on condition this nonsense stops.

Josh:  That’s the thing about Gran, she’s still the most interesting person in this family.
